The 7th SA TB Conference is delighted to announce that Minister of Health Dr Joe Phaahla will present the plenary address at the conference’s opening ceremony. The organising committee is honoured to host Deputy President David Mabuza to close the conference.
The conference takes place in-person from 13 to 16 September 2022 at the ICC in Durban. Join this milestone event and participate in the movement to get TB control back on track.
The 7th SA TB Conference will be run across four tracks, incorporating the pathogenesis of TB, new advances in TB drugs, diagnostics, and vaccines; implementation and health systems; and social and community aspects of TB.
Track 4 chair, Dr Sizulu Moyo, says delegates can look forward to discussions and lessons highlighting the roles of different stakeholders beyond the health system in addressing TB, and hence the importance of forging a multisectoral approach to TB. “This track will highlight efforts, challenges, and progress in the active integration of community advocacy, screening, testing, and treatment support in the TB response,” Dr Moyo added.
